20 years ago tonight, I went out into the back yard, head spinning. I pointed the little scope skyward - it seemed a good place to look. The typically busy sky was eerily empty, with nary a plane in sight. 20 years later, I'm off to a dark field to do some observing. I'll be thinking and remembering. If you get a chance, take a look upwards this evening, too.

Heya folks! Annnnd we're back. The Perseid meteor shower is approaching, peaking on August 11/12. What if you're like some of my buddies, and are blind? Or it's raining? Listening to 'em is a great way to observe. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa14fOybJ4qTosQPa1TJdcw
