Man, I got to do another "lecture" yesterday evening. I like to make them a little more informal, and have the room all sort of hanging out together. I mean, we talk about space, and I have the slideshow and such, but the highlights are when aliens and God comes up. This one was for a group of senior citizens, which I especially relish. You've gotta keep learning, and it's such an honor to provide a place for people to be curious. After the talk, I heard the REALLY cool stuff - stories of UFO sightings in the midwest, and a lady who was 101 came up to me. She had been sitting there the whole time, with special headphones connected to a microphone I was wearing so she could hear me. She told me her husband had worked on the Mercury and Apollo programs as an engineer, and she got to meet the original moonwalkers. Now that's nifty!
Don't forget, folks! The Perseid meteors peak overnight. https://www.space.com/32868-perseid-meteor-shower-guide.html
Heya folks! Annnnd we're back. The Perseid meteor shower is approaching, peaking on August 11/12. What if you're like some of my buddies, and are blind? Or it's raining? Listening to 'em is a great way to observe. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa14fOybJ4qTosQPa1TJdcw
