Darkness is gathering here on Long Mountain, and...I'm going fishing for some truly deep sea fishes this evening. I usually observe galaxies 3-30 million light years away. This evening I'm gonna try for my first quasars: one is half a billion, the other 3.5 BILLION light years away. (I'll be using a 12.5" reflector for this.) I'll let you know how it goes!
