Sometimes you just meet people who floor you. Ali is one of these folks. He's a fellow astronomer, and quantum scientist (!) Hands down one of the smartest guys I've ever met. We were hanging out waiting for the clouds to clear one night, and he whips out some Iranian ukulele variant from his home country, and starts jamming on it. He's taught himself astrophotography this last year, and dig this awesome shot he got of the Pillars of Creation .
